Step 1: Download udunits-2.1.24 from ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/udunits/

Step 2:Untar and compile

# tar -zxvf udunits-2.1.24
# cd udunits-2.1.24
# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/udunits-2.1.24 CC=gcc CXX=g++
# make 
# make install
